Trend Tuesdays: Nice Bit Of Skirt!

We are so excited to bring you our new stock, this week focusing on skirts, and boy do we have some beauties for you!

Knitted skirts: Skirts aren't just for summer when you have a good pair of tights and you can get away with knitted or even patterned ones with these. Our green skirt would look amazing with an oversized aubergine bag and some ankle boots with frilled, white socks. The monochrome mini skirt is very sixties inspired and we think it would be great to clash with some patterns! Finally, our favourite of the bunch is the tweed pencil skirt (above) that is smart enough for a day in the office. The burnt orange colour is great to match with some autumnal colours like browns, purples and even mustard yellow if you are feeling bold!

Pastels: Winter pastels are a top pick this season and who can resist their icy, bittersweet tones. Our pastel pink pencil skirt (above) is straight out of the 1950's and its beauty stems from its versatility. Wearing with a Polo neck jumper retains the vintage theme but is also spot on trend this season. For a smarter look, try with a fitted, peplum blazer or a grey, long sleeved top. The pastel blue skirt can be worn with other blue tones, clashed with more pastels or worn with a polo neck for smart and casual!

Full skirts: Full skirts are a must have for any womans wardrobe and they have continued on from last season. We have bright florals to inject some colour into your wardrobe which look great mixed with light colours or toned down with darker shades. Don't be afraid to mix them up with thicker textures as long as they don't conceal the shape of the waistline, to avoid looking bulky. We also have more autumnal patterns, our personal favourite being the tartan skirt (above). This is the perfect addition to an autumn look and looks great with black blouses and cardigans, almost reminicent of WW2.
